August 25, 2025

Timpanogos Legal Center announces a leadership transition as founding Executive Director Susan Griffith steps out of the executive director role and continues with the organization in a new capacity focused on development and program innovation.

Timpanogos Legal Center (TLC), a nonprofit dedicated to assisting people who must represent themselves in family law and housing matters, announced that Susan Griffith, the organization’s founding Executive Director, will be transitioning out of her role. While stepping down from executive leadership, Griffith will remain with TLC in a newcapacity focused on development and innovation in TLC’s clinics and programs.

Griffith has led TLC since its founding, building the organization from the ground up into a statewide provider of innovative and accessible legal services. Under her leadership, TLC has grown into a trusted resource for thousands of Utahns, offering services such as the legal hotline, a document clinic, and advice clinics across the state. Griffith believes in legal innovation, developing online clinics before the COVID pandemic, and instigating the CAPP program which trains and certifies Victim Advocates to give legal advice to survivors of domestic violence.

“It has been an honor to see TLC grow from an idea into a resource that thousands of Utahns rely on. What matters most is that people who feel alone in their legal struggles know they havea place to turn. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and am excited to continuec ontributing in a new capacity.” – Susan Griffith, Founding Executive Director.

“Susan’s leadership has shaped TLC into a strong, innovative, and trusted organization. We areg rateful for her continued involvement as we move forward in serving Utahns statewide.” –Richard Sheffield, Board Chair, Timpanogos Legal Center

TLC’s Board of Directors is overseeing the leadership transition and is committed to ensuring that client services remain strong and uninterrupted during the process.
